chartGen v1.3 is now live. Changes include adding cast-on and bind-off stitches, stitch numbering (every 5th stitch), as well as allowing the row numbering to increment by a user-defined value. This is handy if your chart only happens on the right side (for example in a lace chart where all wrong side rows are purl), and you only want to chart pattern rows, but you are counting every row.

I'm still pondering whether or not to include pattern repeats. It seems counter-intuitive to me, as the chart would be the same - no need to chart the same thing over again. If someone could present a good argument as to WHY you'd need this in a chart, I'd be willing to start coding something up.

In other knitting news, I'm part-way into a second go of my lace shawl, this time in very fine Misti Alpaca 100% Baby Alpaca laceweight (in black). It's slightly nightmarish to knit with - very very very soft and fine - but I think it will show off the pattern better. It's going to take a long time to finish and will require many more repeats of the pattern. Hopefully after this, I'll be ready to publish the pattern.
